Energy Demand
Final energy consumption (FEC) has been increasing at an annual average growth rate of nearly 4 % over the last 15 years. After a nearly 10% fall between 2011 and 2013. In 2021 almost 56 TWh were finally consumed.
As of 2021, the residential, tertiary & agriculture sector represents 49% of the total final energy and industry makes up 21%. The consumption of energy in the transport sector has increased steadily over the years and as of year 2021 accounted for 28% of final energy consumption.
