Total final energy consumption (TFES) has been increasing at an annual average growth rate of nearly 4 % over the last 15 years. After a nearly 10% fall between 2011 and 2013, it has remained broadly stable since then, and stood at 6.4 Mtoe in 2015.
As of 2016, the residential, tertiary & agriculture sector represents 36.7% of the total final energy consumption followed by equal shares in transport (33.5 %) and industry (27.29 %). Non-energy uses account for only 1.8 % of TFES.
