Final Consumption
While total energy demand is increasing, per capita consumption remains low compared to the EU average. Oil is the predominant fuel consumed in the country (especially in the transport sector), closely followed by gas. The share of coal & lignite continues to gradually decrease.

The residential, tertiary, agriculture sector accounted for the highest share of final consumption with 42%, followed by the transport sector with 31%, industry with 22% and non-energy uses with 5%.
