Project to Promote Sustainable Household Heating Systems in Bulgaria

Bulgaria suffers from air pollution caused by domestic heating and transport.

The LIFE IP CLEAN AIR project is aiming to tackle this problem by piloting the replacement of polluting household heating systems. Furthermore, within the scope of the project, recommendations for the transition to more sustainable forms of heating will be drafted. The project will focus its activities in six Bulgarian municipalities, namely Sofia, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Montana, Ruse, and Stara Zagora. For more information on the project, click here.
