Ukraine's primary energy consumption per capita used to be rather high, but dropped sharply in the mid nineties. The total final consumption dropped by more than 1/4 since 2010 to 53.7 Mtoe by 2017.
In 2017, the industry market share amounts to 34.7% of final consumption compared to 59% in 1992. Residential,tertiary and agricultural sector amount to 45% and the transport sector accounts for 14.7%. Non energy use accounts for 5.5% in 2017.
