Serbia and Republika Srpska is to jointly build the Foča and Paunci hydropower plants

On 22nd of August, it was agreed that the two hydropower plants (Foča and Paunci) will be jointly built by Serbia and Republika Srpska on the upper Drina River, with a total installed capacity of 95 MW. The hydropower plant of Foča planned to have an installed capacity of 44.15 MW and an average annual production of 175.9 GWh of electricity, while Paunci will have an installed capacity of 43.21 MW and an average annual electricity output of 166.9 GWh. The construction of the two hydro power plants will be carried out by Serbia’s state power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije and Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske.
