The Primorsko - Goranska county, the Monastery of St. Frane – Cres and power utility Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP) have signed the cooperation-agreement to build the largest solar power plant of Croatia on the Cres island. Orlec Trinket will command an installed capacity of 6.5 MW, with expected generation of 8.5 GWh. The project value is estimated at EUR 6.1 million. The project of Orlec Trinket is the first one within the planned HEP activities, which also concerns self-development. The implementation of such projects is part of the HEP Development Strategy, according to which the share of renewables in the company’s electricity generation should achieve 50% by 2030 and to 70% by 2050.
