EPCG approves EUR 9 million investments in hydropower systems

Power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) will invest EUR 40 million in the revitalization of two hydropower plants, Piva and Perućica, and EUR 27 million in diverting a part of the Zeta river into the Perućica hydropower system, based on the decision of the Board of Directors of power utility EPCG on the 4th of May. The investment aims to be a key driver of activities included in the five-year investment plan. The overhaul of unit, which will extend the unit’s lifespan and to reach its projected performance values, will be completed until the end of 2019. In addition, the Board of Directors’ approved an the amendment to the Public Procurement Plan, which created the precondition to start the overhaul of six units of HPP Perućica and launched a tendering process to purchase power transformer in worth of EUR 2.75 million.
