Hungarian and Polish president discuss infrastructure development, energy security

Presidents János Áder of Hungary and Andrzej Duda of Poland focused on infrastructure development and energy security in their talks in Veszprém, in western Hungary, at the end of March.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting that marked the day of Hungarian-Polish friendship, Áder said that regional infrastructure projects, transport corridors, energy security and the Three Seas Initiative had featured high on the agenda. Áder said Hungary’s position on the Nord Stream 2 had remained unchanged. Hungary would like to see a decision which complies with the EU rules, meets energy security requirements, applies no double standards and serves the member states’ energy security interests.
