The Turkish Energy Minister Berat Albayrak recently accounted that work has begun on new tenders for 1,000 MW wind and solar power plants. The Energy Ministry plans to launch a total of 10,000 MW solar and wind plants in the next decade in order to significantly increase the amount of renewable energy in the energy mix of the country.
