Bosnia-Herzegovina adopts first nationwide energy efficiency action plan

Bosnia-Herzegovina adopted its first energy efficiency action plan on a country level.

Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) adopted its first energy efficiency action plan on a country level. At the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, the Council of Ministers adopted the energy efficiency action plan for BiH over the period from 2016-2018. The plan includes measures to increase energy efficiency in the fields of electricity and energy production, as well as new measures in the fields of transmission and distribution of electricity and gas.

The energy efficiency action plan includes the Federation BiH energy efficiency action plan for the period 2016-2018 as well as changes and amendments to the energy efficiency action plan of the Republika Srpska up to the year 2018. The energy efficiency action plan was adopted primarily in line with the country's obligations as a member of the Energy Community.
