New Energy Law in Moldova

New energy law into force based on EU Directive 2009/28/EC

A new energy law came into force at the end of March 2017 based on the EU Directive 2009/28/EC on the promotion of renewable energies in Moldova. In light of the new legislation, a new feed in tariff scheme was introduced. For the first time, a 41 kW PV system will receive a feed in tariff of USD 0.10/kWh (MDL 1.90). Furthermore, wind power projects will receive a maximum tariff of USD 0.06 (MDL 1/kWh).

The new feed in tariff schemes will be managed by the energy regulatory authority (ANRE) of Moldova.
