Czech support plan for low emission vehicles approved by the EU

The EU approved a €44.5 million project plan for the creation of a network of refueling and recharging stations in the Czech Republic.

According to the EU, the support scheme should contribute to reducing emissions without distorting competition too much.

The project should run for six years and is set to fund the construction of publicly accessible recharging and refueling stations for vehicles running on electricity, compressed natural gas, LNG, and hydrogen. The project is expected to encourage a significant increase of vehicles running on alternative fuels and contribute to reducing emissions, improving air quality and help meet global and national climate goals.
