Ukrainian Parliament adopted Draft Law 4334 on stimulation of heat energy production from renewables
More than 50% of the deputies voted in favour of the new law. The Bioenergy Association of Ukraine had been involved in the development of the law.
An implementation of the law is expected to achieve the following advantages:
• Guaranteed return on investment in heat production from alternative sources
• Reduction of gas imports by 3 billion m³ and savings of more that US$ 600 million
• Cost reduction of heat energy for end consumers
• New jobs in the production chain of alternative fuels
