EBRD and IFC support expansion of renewable energies in Turkey
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) provide financial aid to the Turkish producer of renewable energies. The aim is to raise renewable energy capacity to 1 gigawatt.
The producer of renewable energies in Turkey, Akfen Renewable Energy, is forcing investment in renewable energies, especially hydro and solar plants. With the support of the two banks, EBRD and IFC, the operational capacity of Afken Renewable Energy is expected to raise from persent 211 megawatts to 1 gigawatt.
