44 MW windfarm planned in Bosnia

to be finalized in 2017 and supported by German bank KfW

For one of its three state-controlled power utilities Bosnia gave the order to the German industrial group Siemes to provide wind turbines for the construction of its planned 44 MW windfarm. The project profits from KfW funding, a German bank. Bosnia intends to improve the power mix for this utility as it generates electricity solely based on its seven hydro-power plants that have a total capacity of 860 MW. 40% of electricity produced by Bosnia come from hydro, the remainder is based on coal-fired plants. Mainly due to its big hydro-power capacity Bosnia is able to export electricity.
