New energy development plan until 2030 for Estonia
According to the energy development plan until 2030 that was submittel to the government of Estonia by the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communiations the share of renewable energy should make up 45 % of the country’s total energy consumption.
The plan foresees that 80 % of heat should be produced from renewable sources. In addition, greenhouse gas emissions should be reduced by 70 % by 2030 as compared to their 1990 levels and by more than 80 % by 2050.
