Serbia installed wind capacity to increase to 542 MW by 2025
Serbia’s onshore wind sector will extend more than fivefold by the end of 2015, when it is expected to have an installed capacity of 122 MW.
Electricity production from renewable energy sources is mainly supported by Feed-in Tariffs (FiT) according to the 2004 Energy Law. FiTs will help drive growth in the wind sector. Serbia's state-owned power utility is legally obliged to purchase total electricity produced from public-private partnerships at an incentive price.
Technologies for FiTs include hydropower, biogas, biomass, geothermal, solar and wind power.
