Siemens wins order for a 1,2 GW CCGT project in Turkey

Two units with an installed capacity of 600 MW each

Siemens is supplying two SGT5-8000H gas turbines, along with steam turbines and generators, for the 1.200 MW Hamitabat CCGT (combined cycle gas turbines) power project near Lüleburgaz (Kirklareli province) in northwest Turkey. Siemens will provide two single-shaft units with an installed capacity of 600 MW, each. GAMA Power Systems is the EPC contractor in the project, developed by independent power producer Hamitabat Elektrik (Limak Holding). The project is expected to be commissioned in the summer of 2017.

So far Siemens has sold 46 H-class gas turbines worldwide. Due to the high starting reliability and availability this machine is classified as the most successful gas turbine of this efficiency class on the world market.
