RWE Innogy has now ordered seven N117/2400 wind turbines from Nordex for the 17-MW Opalenica project in Poland

It is expected to connect the wind farm to the country's electricity grid by the end of the year.

Poland generates about 90 percent of its power from coal and should bring the renewable energy share to at least 15 percent of the total by 2020 to meet European Union carbon emissions requirements.
