New wind park in the north west of Lithuania

Following the company’s successful market entry in September, wind turbine manufacturer Nordex will install a new wind park in Lithuania.

Nordex will be supplying and installing 19 N117/2400 turbines with a premium service contract covering a minimum period of 15 years.

Installation of the turbines is to commence in spring 2015 for customer UAB Pamario jegainiu energija, a company owned by Lithuanian-based Orion Alternative Energy Fund and Dutch-based Energy Investment Fund. The turbines will have large rotors and be mounted on 120-metre towers in order to ensure that maximum yields can be obtained from the light local wind conditions. The wind farm will be able to supply up to 75.000 households in the region with clean electricity.
