Securing net stability in Estonia

through the construction of a reserve power plant with the support of the EIB

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a €32m loan to the Estonian electricity transmission network operator Elering for the construction of its back-up power generation plant in Kiisa.

The plant is based on engines fuelled by natural gas as a primary fuel and light fuel oil as a back-up fuel.
