Reduction of CO2 emissions in CEE countries

Romania and Bulgaria among the countries with the highest reduction rates

Romania (-14,6%) and Bulgaria (-10,2%) were among the EU countries who posted highest reductions of carbon emissions last year, according to an Eurostat survey. The drop is explained to a major extent by the increase in renewable energy.

Among the countries with increase of CO2 emissions between 2012 and 2013 are Estonia and Poland.
