LNG terminals for Estonia and Finland rejected by the EC

Plans for regasification terminals in Paldiski (Estonia) and Inkoo (Finland) to be linked through a new gas pipeline were rejected

The European Commission has rejected plans by Finland and Estonia to build two LNG terminals in the Gulf of Finland. The European Union could fund up to 40% of a regional terminal. However, the European Commission argued that a two-terminal construction would not be eligible for Europena subsidies. Negotiations will continue.
