Alstom will provide two 900 MW units for Opole coal-fired plant (Poland)

Alstom signed a contract for the construction of two 900 MW units to major Polish utility PGE (Polska Grupa Energetyczna).

The project will build a new ultra-supercritical (USC) coal-fired power plant in south-western Poland. The coal-fired facility will supply electricity to the equivalent of 2 million homes.The power plant ranks among the most efficient power units of Poland.
