Romania plans to privatise 15% of Romgaz by late 2013

Romania plans to sell a 15% stake in national gas company Romgaz by the end of the year. The privatisation would be carried out through an initial public offering, expected to raise €600m. Romania will keep at least 70% of the company and transfer up to 15% to the property-restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea.

The privatisation is part of a €2bn deal signed with the International Monetary Fund to overhaul state companies.
