The Turkish Energy Regulatory Authority (EPDK) in its first round attracted solar bids reaching 8,9 GW

The Turkish Energy Regulatory Authority (EPDK) has held its first round of solar PV licensing programme, which attracted nearly 15 times the 600 MW cap, with a total of 8.9 GW of solar bids for plants ranging between 1 MW and 50 MW. The first two licenses were awarded to Solentegre Enerji for an 8 MW solar park in the Elazig region (eastern Anatolia) and to Halk Enerji for a 5 MW park in the eastern region of Erzurum. The projects will receive feed-in tariffs over more than 10 years.
