Poland delays LNG terminal commissioning by 6 months to late 2014

The Treasury Ministry of Poland, the sole owner of Gaz-System, the Polish gas transmission operator, has announced delays in the commissioning of the first LNG regasification terminal of the country. The 5 bcm/year terminal is currently under construction in Swinoujscie and was expected to be commissioned by mid-2014.

Financial problems plaguing the builders of the terminal are now expected to delay the commissioning of the project, which is now scheduled for late 2014.
