Enel Green Power opens 6.5MW solar park in Romania

Enel Green Power, the renewable arm of Italy’s Enel, started operations on a new solar installation of 6.5MW, taking its total solar installed capacity in Romania to 26MW.

According to grid operator Transelectrica, Romania reached 463MW of incentivized solar capacities by August.

Under the amended renewable bill, solar installations are granted four certificates.

Aside from solar, the utility operates locally 498MW in wind.
