Serbia approves 10.9% increase in residential electricity price

The Energy Agency of Serbia has approved the 10.9% increase in residential electricity price proposed by the Serbian national utility EPS.

Electricity prices had not increased since April 2011, when they rose by an average 15%. Even after the August 2013 hike, electricity tariffs will still be among the cheapest in Europe, at €6c/kWh.
