Kazanci Holding plans to sell 16.3% in Aksa Enerji (Turkey)

Kazanci Holding, a Turkish industrial conglomerate, has appointed Merrill Lynch to sell a 16.3% take in Aksa Enerji to international investors.

Aksa Enerji is an independent power producer, with more than 2 GW of installed capacity (gas and oil fired units, wind parks and hydropower plants) in Turkey and a project portfolio of nearly 2.5 GW. Kazanci Holding owns 81.5% of Aksa Enerji and Goldman Sachs International holds 13.3%; the remainder is traded on the Istanbul stock exchange.
