Croatia aims to build its first waste incinerator in Dalmatia

The Croatian Waste Management Center (CGO) is planning to build its first waste incineration plant at the Bikarac Waste Management Center near the Adriatic coast.

The Bikarac Waste Management Center (CGO) is one of 11 waste incineration plants that Croatia intends to build as part of its waste management system. The use of waste for energy production has led to social controversy and public debate. The power plant will be the first model of the circular economy in Croatia, as waste will be converted into a source of energy. It is a power plant for the thermal treatment of fuel from waste and dried sludge.
