LONGi signs 576 MW contract with Nofar for solar projects in Romania

Nofar Energy Ltd (TLV:NOFR), the Israeli renewable energy developer, has signed a EUR 76.6 million (USD 84.4 million) contract to purchase solar modules from Chinese company LONGi Solar for projects in Romania.

The contract covers a power generation capacity of 576 MW and Longi will be responsible for the entire delivery process of the panels on site. The project realization includes taxes, import and export costs, insurance, international shipping and delivery of the modules to the sites.

The Nofar projects in Romania include a total of approximately 800 MW of renewable energies that are already connected to the grid or are still being constructed. In 2023, Nofar and its partner Econergy Renewable Energy commissioned the 154 MW Ratesti solar park, which represents the largest photovoltaic complex in Southeast Europe.
