Vestas and DTEK signed a letter of intent for Ukraine's largest wind energy project

At COP28, Vestas and DTEK announced a collaboration on the construction of the second phase of the 384 MW wind project in southern Ukraine.

The first phase of the Tyligulska wind project comprised 114 MW and was successfully commissioned in spring 2023. Infrastructure mega-projects in Ukraine currently require additional risk guarantees. It is important not only to restore what has been destroyed, but also to build a new energy system. The project will help strengthen the country's energy security and enable Ukraine to take a leading role in decarbonization in Europe. The first and second phases of the wind project will comprise 83 wind turbines with a total capacity of 498 MW, which will make it the largest wind energy project in the country.
