Serbia committed to reduce emissions by 34% until 2030

Serbia's commitment to reducing emissions by 34% until 2030 is an important step towards addressing climate change.

The Minister of Mining and Energy in Serbia, Dubravka Đedović, has announced that Serbia's upcoming integrated national energy and climate plan aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 34% by the end of the decade. The minister also stressed the importance of reforming state-owned energy companies such as coal and electricity producer Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) for Serbia's energy independence and secure energy supply. The target for the share of renewable energy in energy production in 2030 was set at 45%.
