Romania allocates 666 million USD for solar rebates
The Romanian government will allocate RON 3 billion (US$666.2 million) this year to the Casa Verde Photovoltaic program to support the deployment of more than 150,000 PV systems under the national net metering regime. The program offers grants for installations larger than 3 kW and covering up to 90% of the system cost, provided the grant does not exceed RON 20,000 for conventional projects and RON 25,000 for projects in isolated areas. Romanian authorities say the new budget will enable the deployment of more than 150,000 PV systems.
