Romania: wind farm reaches a significant milestone

Twenty-two six-megawatt wind turbines are in the works for Sfanta Elena. In September, the grid connection was approved. The final grid connection contract negotiation is one of the next steps.

Windkraft Simonsfeld RO s.r.l. and Windpark Banat RO s.r.l. are working on a project in the Banat region of Romania's Caras-Severin County: Twenty-two six-megawatt wind turbines are in the works for Sfanta Elena. In September, the grid connection was approved. The final grid connection contract negotiation is one of the next steps. All required notices for development and operation should be in place by the first quarter of 2023.

The initial approval procedures for the required land parcels for the second development project, the Banat wind farm, have already started.
