Turkey: Hybrid Wind and Solar Power plants

The implementation of Turkey's largest hybrid projects to date, with a combined power of 42 MWp between two different system locations, was chosen by Sancak Energy for ASUNIM, a reputable solar EPC company in Turkey with a high level of system engineering and know-how for hybrid wind and solar power plants.

The Balar Wind Power Plant, which began producing electricity in 2018, will have a 26MWp solar power plant integrated with it. The Yahyal Eolic Power Plant, which began producing electricity in 2015 with a total installed power of 52.8MW, will have a second 16MWp solar power plant integrated with it.

Thus, the solar power plants will make sure that the hybrid power plants function at a considerably greater performance during periods of enhanced solar irradiation and reduced wind energy output.
