RNV Infrastructure is developing a 629 MW wind power project in Romania.

RNV Infrastructure is developing a 629 MW wind power project in Galați, Romania. The project recently obtained technical approval for the connection to the transmission grid.

RNV Infrastructure owns the project company through its subsidiary Electrocentrale Borzeşti.

The Romanian media outlet estimated the project at EUR 500 million. Romania is rushing to boost its wind farm capacity, including offshore facilities, to meet tight European funding deadlines and increase energy independence from Russia, mitigate the effects of the global energy crisis and decarbonize its economy.
