Serbia: Will stop Importing Russian Oil

Serbia will no longer import Russian crude oil from November 1 due to the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia. Instead, the country will purchase oil from other suppliers.

Serbian energy minister Zorana Mihajlovic announced that Serbia would no longer import Russian crude oil from November 1 due to the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia. Instead, the country will purchase oil from other suppliers. Russian imports meet about 50% of the country's needs, and 30% comes from different suppliers, for example, Iran. 20% is covered by domestic oil.

The country is in initial negotiations with Azerbaijan on natural gas deliveries starting next year to diversify its suppliers.
