Lithuania: 500 MW of solar 200 MW of wind by 2025

Renewable energy company Green Genius will install 500 MW of solar power and 200 MW of wind farms simultaneously, making a total of 700 MW of wind and solar power plants by 2025. They will cover about 10% of Lithuania’s electricity needs.

Renewable energy company Green Genius will install 500 MW of solar power plants and 200 MW of wind farms simultaneously, making a total of 700 MW of wind and solar power plants in Lithuania by 2025. This will cover about 10% of Lithuania’s electricity needs and help prevent ~556,000 tons of CO2 emissions in a single year. The company’s solar and wind power plants are being developed in the whole territory of Lithuania featuring a combined solar-wind power plant model as well.  

 

Ruslan Skelpovic , the CEO of Green Genius stresses that this investment is not only a matter of Sustainability but also of energy independence and socio-economic well-being, and that they take the European Commission’s outreach to promote the development of renewable energy as a matter of particular public interest, seriously. Their operational start is planned for the end of 2024.
