Two solar parks in the making in Hungary

IBC Solar is building two solar parks in Hungary with a combined capacity of almost 100 megawatts. The plants are scheduled to go into operation in autumn.

Two solar parks with a 100 MW combined capacityare in the making in Hungary. One plant is being built in the southern Hungarian municipality of Gerjen with 51 megawatts. The second is in Söjtör in the far west of the country, with 45 megawatts.

The contract for this was awarded by the Swiss-based investor MET. IBC Solar is responsible for the planning, procurement, and construction of the plants. The company from Germany has previously built a 43-megawatt solar park in eastern Hungary for MET.

Construction is scheduled to begin this spring, with commissioning planned for autumn 2022.
