The Austrian oekostrom AG expands ist PV production in Slovakia by 60 MW
On 17 December 2021, oekostrm AG signed the purchase agreement to acquire a portfolio of five ground-mounted PV plants in Slovakia. The production capacity of the independent energy service provider will increase by around 10 percent to approximately 60 MWThe five sites in the east of the country will produce 5,500,000 kWh of clean solar electricity annually - equivalent to the average demand of around 1,600 households - and feed it into the Slovakian grid at an attractive fixed tariff.
Ökostrom is Austria's largest independent energy service provider to almost 9 MW. The now total of nine oekostrom AG plants are located in Austria and neighbouring Slovakia.
Solar energy in particular plays a decisive role in ensuring a clean electricity supply for everyone in Europe.
