Large-scale PV finds footing in Slovenia
Large-scale photovoltaics have struggled to gain much traction in Slovenia, with few projects announced in recent years due to land use restrictions. The difficulty in finding suitable surfaces has led developers to get creative. For example, Slovenian hydropower operator HESS announced plans to build a 6 MW solar farm near its 47.7 MW Brežice hydropower plant on the lower reaches of the Sava River.
