Low-carbon-development strategy for Croatia adopted

Two scenarios draw references to 2030 and 2050.

The Low Carbon Development Strategy of the Republic of Croatia until 2030 with an outlook to 2050 foresees a reduction of emissions compared to 1990 levels in two scenarios: 33.5 by 2030 and 56.8% 2050 according to the first one and up to 36.7% by 2030 and 73.1 and 80% by 2050 respectively.

The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has announced that there are major challenges in meeting the targets of the strategy's more ambitious scenario, which envisages an 80% reduction in emissions from 1990 registered levels by 2050 The measures outlined in the strategy would bring growth to the economy.
