The first phase of the 500 MW Zaporizhia wind farm was commissioned

The first phase (98 MW) of the 500 MW Zaporizhia wind farm project in southeast Ukraine was commissioned. The phase was financed by Long Wing and VLCR with GE EFS as an equity investor. 

US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the Ukrainian development bank, previously known as the Overseas Private Investment Corporation provided the senior debt financing of $150m (€123m).

The generated electricity will be sold via a power purchase agreement to Ukrainian state enterprise Guaranteed Buyer at a set feed in tariff.
