The second Croatian renewable energy auction will be taking place in 2021

The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development announced, that the Croatian electricity and gas regulator (HROTE) will hold its second renewable energy auction in 2021. It will aim at contracting 400 MW of wind and solar power to support the large-scale uptake of solar and wind. The first auction, finalized in December 2020, received 108 bids with a combined capacity of 41.5 MW for the auction.

The second auction supports the Government`s aim to assign 2.26 GW of renewable energy capacity under the scheme while including other sources like hydropower, wind, biomass, biogas, and geothermal energy.
