Elektromreža Srbije joins the AIB - Association of Issuing Bodies Hub
Elektromreža Srbije, the Serbian issuer of Guarantees of Origins (GOs) joined the AIB - Association of Issuing Bodies Hub, to enable imports and exports to upscale the production of green energy. This decision made the sale of GOs for electricity produced from renewable sources in European countries possible and it is expected to increase competition.
Three private companies for production in smaller solar power plants and the power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) for production in hydropower plants will receive guarantees. Suppliers are the only buyers of guarantees in Serbia and this will provide them with the opportunity to stimulate the generation of energy, which does not do any harm to the environment.
