Belarus to built its largets wind farm

Belarus is aiming to increase the share of renewables in its energy mix by building the largest wind farm and getting closer to achieving the 2030 renewables target. GURISH, a Turkey-based construction company, was selected for investing in the construction of a 25 MW wind farm near Veleshkovichi.

The construction is scheduled to start in 2020 and after it`s completed, the wind farm will be Belarus’ largest wind energy producer supplying green energy to over 20,000 households in the area. The estimated total investment is around USD 40 million.
