Power sector law amended in Albania
The Albanian Parliament amended the Power Sector Law (2015) to tackle a number of issues to comply with the electricity acquis. Among others the country is required to complete the adoption of national measures to ensure effective unbundling of the DSO.
The amended Law addresses the conditions imposed in the Energy Community Secretariat’s opinion and the regulatory authority’s final certification decision of the electricity transmission system operator, OST, related to the transfer of tasks from the Ministry of Energy to the current TSO owner the Ministry of Economy.
