Moldova is preparing for wind and solar tenders

Moldovan authorities are committed to reaching a target of at least 10% of total electricity generation from renewable energy sources by 2020, under the National Renewable Energy Action Plan.

Therefore the  Moldavian Government plans to introduce auctions for onshore wind and solar power capacity, by which it is aiming to replace existing support mechanisms for renewables.

The tenders will be organized later this year and potentially in 2020 in line with country’s goal of sourcing at least 10% of its total electricity production from renewables by 2020.
